The newly reformed Leicester Caledonian Society Pipe Band

At a council meeting held on November 10th 2009, it was unanimously agreed to "re form" the Leicester Caledonian Society Pipe Band. The band was originally formed in 1948 and existed until 1954 with Mr. J. McAllister and Mr. D. Murray as band leaders. In 1953 Mr Iain Insch was invited to take on the role of Pipe Major and in 1954 took on the position of Honorary Piper to the Society, a position which he held until 20??
